July has been an exciting month for the firm as we are celebrating our 15th anniversary and it was announced that we topped the Institute of Interim Management’s Annual Provider List for 2014. This was a fantastic achievement and one myself and the whole team are extremely proud of. You can read more about it in this edition.

Our first contribution comes from Jonathan Flynn, Consultant in our Retail team, who gives his overview of the sector. His last piece for Perspective was back in 2012 so it’s interesting to read his comparisons and views on trends and innovations between now and then.

Our first contribution is from Bambos Eracleous, Partner in our Local Government Practice, who shares his thoughts and insight on how the sector has evolved in recent years. We also hear from Bernadette Marjoram who is an experienced Interim within the Local Government, Regeneration and Housing sectors.

In this, the final issue of Perspective for 2013, we hear from my colleagues in our Banking and Private Equity divisions; both sectors have come under fire in recent years but they are, and will continue to be, vital cogs in the UK’s economy.

This month Sarah Shaw who heads up our Education practice tackles one of the core issues facing the sector; namely tuition fees. We also speak to Justine Abbott, and Keith Watkinson, Executive Director Human Resources at Salford University.

This month we interview Nigel Baldwin who is a hugely talented plc Board level Interim HR Director with international experience across the blue chip environment.
